Services
Please review the services I offer below. Feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions. Your treatment will depend on your personal goals and needs.
Psychiatric Diagnostic Evaluations

The first visit includes a psychiatric diagnostic evaluation. This is a comprehensive assessment of the symptoms you are experiencing, your medical and mental health history, biopsychosocial assessment, current and past medication history, your goals for treatment, and more. This assessment can take up to one hour and it may have to be completed on an additional visit. After the assessment is completed, I will collaborate with you on an individualized and evidence-based treatment plan that can include therapeutic strategies, lifestyle changes, or medication management. It is important for me to get to know you. I want you to feel comfortable working with me in a collaborative way so we can make decisions together.
Medication Management

Medication management involves prescribing and monitoring psychotropic medications based on your mental health needs. When I prescribe a medication, I educate about the risks and benefits and more common side effects of these medications. It is my goal that you are informed about the medication that you choose to take. Medications can be used to support other mental health strategies including therapy. Whether you are currently on a medication for your mental health, have recently started a medication, stopped medication, have not been on medication for an extended period, or want to taper off of a medication, I will work with you to create a thorough and individualized treatment plan to help you feel better.
Supportive Therapy

Supportive therapy is a type of psychotherapy that focuses on reinforcing a patient's ability to cope with life’s challenges by providing emotional support, practical advice, and encouragement. It aims to strengthen the individuals existing coping mechanisms, foster resilience, and build self-esteem. Supportive therapy uses aspects from multiple therapy modalities such as cognitive behavioral, mindful cognitive therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy for insomnia to name a few. This approach can be particularly beneficial for those dealing with chronic mental health conditions, life transitions, or situational crises.
Integrative Psychiatric Services

Integrative psychiatric services provide a comprehensive approach to mental healthcare. This includes ruling out medical causes for mental health symptoms through holistic evaluations. Those evaluations can include doing routine blood work, hormone testing, gut microbiome testing, and more. My treatment plans emphasize lifestyle changes, including nutrition, regular exercise, and healthy sleep schedules. Additionally, techniques such as meditation, yoga, and mindfulness can be incorporated to further support mental well-being. This holistic approach ensures that both physical and mental factors are addressed, helping patients achieve optimal mental health.
ADHD Evaluations

The ADHD evaluation process involves a comprehensive assessment, including a detailed clinical interview, standardized symptom checklists and screening tools, and behavioral observations. I may also use psychological testing, along with a medical evaluation, to rule out other mental health and medical conditions that could mimic ADHD symptoms. Input from third parties, such as family members or teachers, is gathered to understand how symptoms manifest in different settings. After determining if the patient meets the DSM-5 criteria for ADHD, I will collaborate with you to create a personalized treatment plan, which may include medication, therapy, and lifestyle modifications. Regular follow up appointments are scheduled to monitor progress and adjust the medication treatment as needed.
Psychotropic Medication Genetic Testing

Psychotropic genetic testing, also known as pharmacogenetic testing, is a type of genetic testing that helps determine how an individual's genetic makeup affects their response to psychotropic medications, which are drugs used to treat mental health conditions like depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and ADHD. This testing analyzes specific genes that influence the metabolism, efficacy, and possible side effects of medications. These tests do not tell you what medication will work for you. They tell you how you genetically process them and help guide which medication to choose. This personalized approach aims to improve treatment outcomes and reduce the trial-and-error process that is often associated with finding the right medication.
